Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider handles the query and produces its results. Skamania County Criminal History does not keep or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or other direct message as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may automatically receive basic technical information about the visit:

- Visited pages and time spent on them
- A referring website, when one supplied the visit

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Skamania County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to records maintained by the Skamania County Sheriff's Office, the county courts, Washington State Patrol's Washington State Identification System, and the Washington Sex Offender Public Registry. This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or dossiers about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. A partner's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices govern information submitted through its tool. Those terms are outside our control, so review the provider's policy before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Skamania County Sheriff's Office, Washington court portals, state agencies, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once you follow an external link, the destination's privacy terms control. Read those terms before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may follow activity across websites to select targeted ads. Their own systems perform that tracking.

We do not sell personal information. Data may be available to:

Your Data Rights
Rights can vary with a visitor's location and the law that applies. For Washington government records, the Washington Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW, governs agency access and exemptions. RCW 10.97.050 separately controls dissemination of conviction records, qualifying current-process information, and restricted nonconviction criminal-history information. Those laws govern official custodians, not a grant of access to data this private site does not hold. Subject to applicable law, you may:
